There's a spot in the USA where Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico meet. You can stand there and be in four states at once.

My images of late are something of the same: a place where Synthetic Cubism, Pop, Op, Geometric Abstraction and Minimalism converge.

Usually, I post new work without an explanation, allowing the pictures to speak for themselves.

Today, a little verbiage.

Lately, I've been using dot patterns: as statement, as decoration, as mesh, as veil. Maybe the best movie I've ever seen is "Persona." In it, Bergman uses veils and curtains to great visual and metaphoric effect.

Also, with the years I'm increasingly attracted to squares and circles, those perfect shapes; and to grids, both as a device to create a tight order and as something to break away from.
