I detest holidays, festivities and mirth,

as well as much on this good, green Earth.

The human race?

It's a terrible place,

an utter disgrace,

a teeming atrocity of overwhelming velocity.

Other than that, everything's A-OK.

Happy Holidays!

This is my latest illustration for Patrick JB Flynn at Rethinking Schools magazine.

Over the years I've done several illustration jobs for New Jersey's free form radio station, WFMU.

Here are my three favorites. From top to bottom: for a brochure, a T-shirt (50th anniversary) and a bumper sticker.

War is Good Business: Invest Your Kids!

This is an illustration I did about three years ago for Patrick JB Flynn at Rethinking Schools magazine. The article was about the US military's recruiting efforts targeting inner city youth.

Wendie Wytch Says...

... Have a Gloomy Halloween, one shrouded with despair, dustings of melancholy and dollops morbidity!

May your most cherished material possession break - beyond repair!

See ya at midnight in the blackest corner of the forest!

Rethinking Schools

Rethinking Schools, a progressive education magazine art directed by Patrick J.B. Flynn, has been a steady client these past several years.

Pat's famous for giving his illustrators free reign, and it's always a pleasure to be given material of substance to work with.

Here is a recent job for Rethinking Schools about a young teacher being dropped in to his new role as an inner city educator..

Today's Wall Street Journal...

This is an illustration I did for today's WSJ, the topic being the recharging of electric cars. (Overnight has lower rates.)

A Negative Guy...

This year I've been working for Jeffrey Weinberg's Water Row Press. They're the tiny publisher of big names: Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs, Charles Plymell, Thurston Moore, Lee Ranaldo, Charles Burns, Gary Panter, Mark Beyer, R. Crumb, Charles Bukowski, Allen Ginsberg, et al.

Among other things, I've done a few differently colored versions of this little beatnik for them. He pops up here and there: a logo, on a mug, in a promotional piece, on a T-shirt.
